- זְקִיפִין, זְקוֹפִיןm. pl. (זָקַף) officers for restoring the line of battle, guards against desertions. Sot.VIII, 6 (44a זקי׳; Y. ed. זְקוֹפִים, Rashi זוֹקְפִין). Gen. R. s. 98 זעקפי מלחמה (read זְקִיפֵי or זוֹקְפֵי).
